The New Beginning 1-3

I closed my eyes to picture a new beginning
A start to where the end began to fade into the distance
Where I saw the sun descend below the ocean water
And distill the clouds that had filled the sky above
  
If and when there lies a pill to swallow
We'll dissolve into the sun and take
Those numbing waves of our body and burn into ashes
To become part of the sacrifice
    
I worship through the haze
As my soul no longer serenades the wind
We grow deeper far apart
My belonging to this earth is only as long
As my love inside can take you from my heart
  
There's a silence none can break
A separation of unity,
In my spirit lies a broken bridge
A voice no longer spoken in prayer
A whisper never heard from the bottom of the stairs
Where the sun illuminates my room...

We fear the outer walls
We've sheltered in.
The concrete structure
A man made prison
We've grown use to pain
From all innocent apprehension
  
There is no light,
There is no time among your foolish regrets
You have no other choice
But to look up and ask for a reason
As we see the sky-
The world is slowly dying from you
And heaven is only a dream we fail to believe in.   

So I'll let you disappear into thin air
Just so I can stay the same
At last a shell to concur
The distance I can only see
And not walk in your footsteps
  
The fear is slowly gaining way
  
You have nowhere to go
As you're left out from the crowd-
None can find you
If it isn't in their control…
You have to let yourself see
You're not the only one
Who's afraid of leaving this world.

I remembered last September
The alienation we breathed in
The winds of loss and sadness remained
The growing cold horizon
As summer drifted beyond our periphery.
  
Don't let me get so close
I'd never fail to close my eyes
To jump start my irrational fear
The selfless being grown numb to human voice
You speak; now out of reach
I hear nothing as the silence repents
A mournful disembodying experience...

I'd let your dream come true
Just for one movement of your eye
As sleeplessness carries on
Through drug like delusions
I embrace what's not my own
I fail to connect with you as my companion
The only one I ever loved
